Book of the Month

Check out Everybody Always by Bob Goff this November at HomePointe!

Family

is a single word, with many different meanings. People have many ways of defining it and what being a part of a family means to them. Families differ in terms of economic, cultural, social, and many other facets, but what every family has in common is that the people who call it a family are making it clear that those people are important in some way to them.

If you have a question or would like to get involved in our Family Ministry, reach out to Roger Howard.

What is HomePointe?

Sunday mornings: 8:30am - 12:00pm

The HomePointe strategy accomplishes two goals. First, it makes it easy for families to become intentional by providing free, one step at a time tools for every family life season. Second, it makes it more likely families will become intentional through periodic campaigns designed to inspire and equip marriage and parenting intentionality.

A HomePointe center is a physical reminder of our leadership’s intentionality to invest in your family.

HomePointe offers the following items:

  • Pointers - with topics that provide a biblical perspective on common family challenges

  • Recipe Cards - designed to give practical ideas for bringing faith home Faith Path - God designed the family as the primary place for discipleship.

  • The Faith Path exists to partner with you as you guide your child’s faith journey one step at a time

  • Books/Devotionals - these will be available for purchase to assist you in building strong families at home

Some of the topics at the HomePointe Center are:

  • Living the single life

  • Getting ready for marriage

  • Building strong marriages

  • Introducing your child to Christ

  • Preparing your child for adolescence

  • Succeeding as a single parent

  • Blending families plus many more

At Rising Sun church, we want to see each family equipped to follow Christ. We have a team of trained hosts available to assist you before and after the morning service or you can come by and explore the Center on your own. If you have specific questions about our HomePointe Center and the resources available, feel free to contact any member of our staff.

What is Faith Path?

If your family has kids under the age of 18, Faith Path is a resource built for you! This strategy brings training to your home at a time that is already significant to parents- their child’s birthday. The birthday-driven coaching kits work to inspire and equip parents as they track spiritual milestones and help children cultivate spiritual disciplines at the ideal age and stage of development. Faith Path seeks to help parents become intentional without needing to attend additional training events. Talk to a volunteer at HomePointe to get started.

Campaigns

A campaign is a church initiative with a goal of creating holy habits. Each year, based on the topic, we provide and present challenges, resources, and opportunities to practice and build faith.
