• Hermeneutics: Dave Bouchard | Family Room

  How does one understand anything? Especially the Bible?! Is every interpretation the meaning or intention of the speaker/writer and of equal worth? In this class on the “science of interpretation” (called HERMENEUTICS) we are going to look at 8 steps to understanding the Bible. You will leave with better methods in studying scripture. Come early, bring your brain, and be ready for some great conversation.

• Apologetics: Joe Rowland | Life Room 1

  Contrary to popular belief, apologetics is not the study of how to properly apologize. We will be studying culturally relevant critiques of our faith, and some responses to them. 1 Peter 3: 15 is typically the flagship verse for people interested in Apologetics. "but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you;" Often missed is the second half of that thought. Verse 16. " yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame." We will aim to do all of this, not just academic defense, but also gentleness and respect.

Kids Classes are on summer break. But children in PreK-5th grade are welcome to play in the gym with us on Sundays mornings before Kids Worship at 10:00am! Jr High and High School kids are invited to help supervise by hanging out with our kids.

The Prayer Closet is a room in the South hallway where an elder or deacon and their wife can pray for you or with you before church service.

Hebrews coffee is open on Sundays from 8:45AM - 9:55AM.
