Tara Thompson’s work is reorganizing. Tara has been with the company for over twenty years. Unfortunately, she did not get the job she was applying for in the transitions. Please pray that there is another position at Nationwide for her. (3/7/25)

Tim Gibson (Tara Thompson’s sister's pastor) has internal melanoma, which is a very aggressive cancer. He’s in Clifton Hills, Missouri. Praying for his healing. (3/7/25)

Gabe Lee's mother (who lives in Malaysia) had a stroke affecting her left side and speech. She is improving and got discharged this morning. Her lung infection is gone, but now needs she PT and her NG tube out. Please continue praying for a full and speedy recovery and offering thanksgiving for God’s faithful provision. (2/28/25)

Single Parent Provision has their Annual Spring Banquet coming up on April 1. Pray that God would be glorified and there would be a strong show of support in both attendance and giving to keep pace with the growing need. (2/25/25) Dave Bouchard had cataract surgery this week, and the doctor said all went well. We are praying for quick healing without any complications or setbacks and for 20/20 vision. (2/26/25)

Jim Hoffman has been moved to Parkridge in Pleasant Hill. He’s very unsteady on his feet and is disoriented at times and he has fallen out his bed there twice. Rita has some health concerns as well, and it is difficult for her to care for Jim at home by herself. We are praying for both to have better health. Praying also for comfort and peace and wisdom in decisions in dealing with life’s challenges. (2/25/25)

Virgina Benda’s surgery went well, the tissue looking good, taken from her shoulder area instead of her neck. Things are healing well, and she said it has not really been painful. She will see the doctor on 2/25 to see about removing stitches. We are praying for quick healing without any further setbacks or complications. (2/25/25)

Jane Smith had her surgery on 2/14 to remove the cancer spot on her eyelid, and all went well; she also had a little reconstructive surgery, and everything is looking good. She has a stitch which needs to dissolve. We are praying for complete healing without complications. Thank you for all your prayers. (2/19/25)  

Jake Pinkston (Jane Smith) is 29 and lives in Oklahoma. He has an aggressive cancerous brain tumor. He is also diabetic which adds another layer of complications. We are praying for remission and recovery. (2/26/25)

Chad Goodhue (friend of Jane Smith) had surgery, and a steel rod put in his leg. His leg got infected and wouldn’t heal; they had to remove the steel rod to help it heal. Then they had to put the steel rod back in the leg again.  His leg is slowly healing again. We are praying it will heal quickly and without further complications so he can continue to farm this spring. (2/26/24) 

Steve and Kim Crocker’s mothers have both been in the hospital recently. They are both back home at this point and doing some better but need our prayers for strength and their physical health issues to improve. We are also praying for Steve and Kim as they care for their aging parents in this season of their lives.  (2/25/25)

Jim Brummit (friend of Gary Cox) has two kinds of cancer and had two surgeries, one to remove a kidney and one to remove tumors in his spine. They were unable to remove all the tumor. They are dealing with insurance to figure out where he can do his physical therapy to regain his strength. We are praying for healing without complications and full remission of the cancer. Charlotte Anderson had some biopsies on her lungs which have infection in them, but no cancer. She has to be on a strong antibiotic for several days. She is feeling much better, eating better, and has been exercising to regain strength in her legs. We are praying for her complete healing from the infection, and her health and strength to be restored. (2/25/25)

Elsa DePenning was taken to the hospital with failure to thrive Saturday 2/22 and had a feeding tube put in through her nose to her stomach. Elsa is back home, gaining weight and wearing her beautiful smile again. They will be working with therapists to help with her eating and nutritional needs.  We are praying for her health and strength and the family as they go through this season in their lives. Kristin Lampkin (Paula Kieler’s friend’s sister-in-law) passed away on Wednesday at 4:30pm. She was the recipient of our Holy Smoke donation this past summer. She leaves behind her husband, and two small boys, along with her parents, in-laws, and a sister. Please continue to pray for the family as they grieve her loss. (2/25/25)

Lavera Mae Green, Janet Townley’s mother, passed away at age 91 on 2/3/25. Praying for the family as they go through the grieving process (2/25/25) 

Sonya McNeal Scadden (Carol Smith’s cousin) is in her final stage of pancreatic cancer and is sleeping most of the time at this point. Sonya's parents were granted permanent guardianship for her children by the court, which is a huge blessing and comfort to Sonya! Praise God. She has little time left on this earth, which will be a blessing for her but hard for those she will leave behind. We are praying for the family as they hold her hand through this final journey. Ron Pauley (friend of Judy Bumpus) has been dealing with cancer for some time. He is responding well to his current treatment. He’s facing more fatigue and pain, but not bad. God is not done with Ron yet! The roller coaster of emotion and uncertainty is sometimes the hardest part of the battle when his faith gets weak. Please pray for Ron, wisdom with his meds and dosage, his pain and fatigue, and for God’s leading in his ministry. His desire is to serve well until he steps into eternity. (2/25/25)

Diane Sholtz has pain in her right wrist which hampers ability to continue the therapy which she needs. We are praying for the pain in her wrist to go away, so she can continue to move forward with therapy to improve her health. (2/25/25)

Karen Boeding (an individual Linda Gibson is sharing Christ with) had cancer surgery at the end of September, and the cancer has returned and spread to her bones, eye, and brain; she is having a lot of pain. We are praying for pain relief and her quality of life in the time she has left. Linda is staying in touch with her to continue to share Christ’s love and the gospel message of hope with her. (2/26/25)

Scott & Paula Seiberling have a lot on their plate right now. Scott is recovering well from surgery. They are also caring full-time for Lars' two toddler children. We are praying for their wisdom, health, and strength mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are praying for future decisions for the grandchildren also. (2/24/25)

Dan Snelson Is doing much better; he still has health issues, but overall is feeling much, much better. We are praying for Dan’s overall health and strength to return and for Deb's strength and health as she cares for him. (2/27/25)

Kelly Revell (friend of Sue Torres) had esophageal cancer and hernia surgery, and she will be off work for 6-8 weeks. We are praying she will heal well and will be cancer free going forward.   (2/25/25)

Michelle McMillan (Cindy Melvin’s sister) will have another MRI again in March. She is doing ok so far. She is back on chemo again; however, this time they will monitor her at the hospital to make sure she has no allergic reactions. God is blessing her, and we are still praying for her full recovery. Carol Huntoon (Donna Bennum’s sister) has pneumonia for a second time. She continues to struggle with health issues. We are praying for her full recovery, health, and strength. (2/25/25)

Kayla Bennum (Donna and Bill Bennum’s daughter) is not taking her medications or following DHS guidelines in relationship to her son Micah. She continues to make poor life choices which impact the whole family. We are praying for a hedge of protection around her heart and mind to protect her from evil’s desire to destroy her and her family.  (2/25/25) 

Janae, Donna & Bill Bennum's oldest daughter’s baby (Kahlani) died on 1/6/25 at less than a month old. Janae has been approved for an apartment starting the first of March, which is good. She has a lot of challenges to deal with as well as her emotional healing. We are praying for healing and wisdom in how to best move forward with her life. (2/25/25)

Bill and Donna Bennum are beginning the process for foster care/adoption licensing. They will be keeping their grandson Micah long term. They have a lot going on with their family. We need to hold them in prayer for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and strength as they continue to share Christ’s love with their family and others. (2/25/25)

Kathy Good: the carpal tunnel surgery helped her hand a lot, and she will begin her physical therapy next week. Her back is doing better, and she still has good and bad days with her neck pain. We are praying for pain relief, her full recovery and health. (2/28/25)

Tedd Norman is feeling pretty good and is now on the permanent list for a new kidney.  We are diligently praying that he will receive a new kidney very soon. (2/2525)

Bill Passat (friend Judi Norman) is doing well and continuing to improve after his stroke. He is walking with a cane, and his speech has cleared up; they are hoping he will recover well, so please pray for full recovery. (2/25/25)

Baby Avaiya Reed (a friend of Judi Norman) is doing well and is able to eat normally now and weighs over eight pounds. We are praying that she continues to grow and be healthy physically without further complications. Her mother is Lexie Leach, (12686 SE 64th Ave, Runnells) and Avaiya’s great grandmother, Kim Oaks, said she was sure she would appreciate prayers and cards. Judi Norman is having several health issues. Because of her servant’s heart and ministry to others, she has a hard time slowing down. We are praying for pain control and successful solutions for her health needs, and for those she serves and love for Christ. (2/25/25)

Alan Rockhold (friend of Judi Norman) had extensive heart surgery and has Guillain-Barre (gee-YAH-buh-RAY) syndrome, a condition in which the body's immune system attacks the nerves, causing weakness, tingling and numbness or paralysis in the hands and feet. He is improving some and is able to walk with a cane. We are praying for a full recovery without further complications. (2/25/25)   

Todd Norman is still having issues with his knee replacement pain and stiffness; cold weather is very painful and is still having sinus issues.  We are praying for long-term health and pain relief. (2/25/25) 

Andrew Skiles and his wife Chantal are getting settled in their new home on base in Germany. We are praying for continued adjustments and friends that encourage them in the Lord. (2/25/25)

Sara Beth Fouch, Gary Cox’s aunt who is nearly 90 years old, has recently broken her ankle and hip, and is continuing therapy.  She is doing well, but anxious to get back home to LaPlata, where she is very active in her community and the church organist. We are praying for healing and a speedy recovery without complication or setbacks. (2/26/25)

Staci Gray (Brent Whitney’s cousin) had good news, as her cancer markers are normal, and the CT scan looked good. Sadly, however, her fourth surgery failed also. She is only 55 years old and has been struggling with digestive surgeries and issues for over a year. Her only hope of being normal and feeling good again is if God would intervene on her behalf and heal her. We are praying that God will give her comfort and peace and help her to find joy in her life even in the face of all her physical adversity. (2/25/25)

Kyler Lenox (friend of Nita Hoffman) is doing well. He is 13 years old, living in Fremont, IA. He has a slow-growing brain tumor. His labs show that his tumor is stable and possibly even smaller, and they are monitoring him closely. He is doing well. We are praying that his treatments will keep the tumor from growing, and for only good results and healing for his body. The whole family is extremely thankful. (2/25/25) 

Brad Davison (Brenda Depauw’s brother): his cancer has returned, and he is now taking chemo again, making him tired and weak. His latest scan was positive. Please be praying for him to gain strength and feel better and to go into full remission. (2/25/25)

Jessica Scholz is dealing with new life circumstances and figuring out how to become more independent and self-sufficient. Several individuals within the church are trying to help her help herself. She needs to find a full-time job that pays enough to supply her needs. We are praying for her to have wisdom and discernment in her life choices and decisions in learning how to live independently and on her own and for her to be strong mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Mario Lara has his annual doctor’s appointment for his tinnitus on 2/28, and we are praying they will be able to help the ringing in his ears go away. His brain is adjusting somewhat to the sound.  He is organizing a bus trip 2025 to the Latino Convention; we are praying for 55 people and the funds to charter the bus. Mario is also organizing a mission trip to Costa Rica for July 30-Aug. 11 for Rising Sun. We are praying for him and his family’s health and strength as they continue to serve the Kingdom. Patty Manny (Fay Thompson) is 80 years old, and her cancer has returned; she is opting for no treatment at this time. She is still able to be in her own home with family help but is pretty much homebound. We are praying that she will be able to enjoy each day God gives her as she ends her life journey and prepares to step into the presence of her Creator. (2/25/28) 

Kris Wolf’s brother-in-law Jeff has been getting infusion treatments, and they are going well with little to no reactions, so he is feeling pretty good. We are praying that God intervenes and heals his body of cancer; if He doesn’t, this is not a cure. We then pray that the time he has left can be quality time with family and friends. (2/26/28) 

Vanessa Merrill (Valerie Merrill’s twin sister) has pancreatic cancer. She had a pain blocker to help her deal with her pain and is finishing her first rounds of chemotherapy with relatively mild side effects.    They will not be able to do surgery until they can get her white blood cell count regulated. We are praying for Vanessa’s complete healing this side of heaven and for the family as they go through this journey together. Valerie is going to visit soon. (2/26/25)

Jenny Muggenburg has finished her chemo and radiation. She was to have had her tongue replacement surgery Feb 17th no report. We are praying that she heals without any complications, and that she will remain cancer-free. (2/26/254)  

Evan (Liz Rhodes’ grandson) had a rare form of cancer, and he just finished another round of infusions two weeks ago. Now he has a break before he has his final round. He has to stay in the hospital as he receives his infusion treatments.   Going forward he will be periodically checked to be sure he stays in remission. We are praying for him to remain cancer free for the rest of his life. Mark and Mandy are his parents and the whole family has grown so much in their faith and trust in God as they have watched God at work in Evan’s full recovery in this season of their lives. God is good all the time. (2/26/25) 

Harrison and Krista Terrill (Chad and Staci Terrill’s children) Baby Hudson he is off the cpap, but still on oxygen. His left lung is partially collapsed and and she has pneumonia. They are starting antibiotics. We are praying God to heal his body with a speedy recovery. Also praying for God to be with the family as they go through this time.  (3/4/25)

Jeannine Derrough (neighbor/friend of Vickie Doerr) just found out her cancer has returned. She was just trying to eat clean and healthy and trust her body to stay healthy. She had to have 9.5lbs of fluid drained from her stomach area. They changed her treatments, and she is feeling better again. We are praying for her healing and for her to stay strong mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. (2/26/25) 

Stefanie Gibson (Dave Gibson’s daughter) has completed radiation and is now doing a round of chemo treatments every 21 days until April. Sometimes she needs a break between treatments to try and let her body recover. She seems to be doing well overall.  We continue to pray for long-term continued physical healing and her walk with God. God is answering prayers for her physically and +spiritually. (2/25/25) 

Rod Haenschen (Dave Gibson’s brother-in-law) had a spinal fusion procedure done to help with pain caused by the cancer in his spine. He is also able to periodically get shots in his spine to help with pain. There is no cure for him at this point, and doctors are just trying to keep him comfortable in the time he has left. We are praying God will touch their hearts with the love and hope of Christ and draw them closer to Him before the end. (2/25/25)

Evelyn Shivers granddaughter and husband have been bringing her to church on Sundays which she loves. She loves visitors, and you can visit her at any time at her granddaughter Brooke’s home, where she now lives: 5926 160th, Indianola (go out past the Casey’s and Fiss’ in Carlisle). If you’d like to send her a card, still send them to 18298 Elthon St, Carlisle, IA 50047. We continue to pray for her health, strength, and mobility. Martha Miller (Kris Young’s mother) has lost strength in her legs and is no longer mobile. She is in hospice care at home and using her wheelchair to get around. The whole family has been fighting the flu. We are praying everyone gets better. Your prayers, cards, and words of encouragement are greatly appreciated by the whole family. (2/25/25) 

Jennifer Lourens (daughter of Les and Ruth Lourens) has been prescribed a new medication which has definitely been helping with her memory.  We continue to pray for her memory and health and ability to continue to enjoy a good quality of life.   (2/25/25)  

We are praying for Ruth and Les. Ruth is dealing with pain in her hands, her right hand is doing well but her left hand trigger finger is still very painful. They finally got over the stomach flu and are feeling better. We are praying for their health and strength, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually as they navigate life’s challenges. Cara Flavio (Lori Cox’s sister) is still not able to walk without assistance and has limited-to-no use of her left side after her stroke. She continues to need therapy which has to be insurance approved to cover the cost.  We are praying for improved mobility and strength. Pray also for her husband Max, for his health and strength; he has ongoing back pain and has been looking for options to help alleviate the pain. Your prayers and cards are most appreciated (Box 61, Concord, IL 62631). Lori is hoping to make a quick visit to them soon, which helps both women with keeping up their positive outlook on life. Josiah Waddle (Gary and Lori’s grandson) is doing much better; he is going to a recovery program and to church regularly and seems to be trying to rebuild his relationship with God and keep a job. He is living with his dad in Newton again. We are praying for his physical, mental, emotional and spiritual strength and health to make good choices and walk with God. (2/25/25) 

Mya McClaflin (Doug and Paula Kieler’s 11-year-old granddaughter) has regular six-month checkups in IA City for her brain lesions. She is taking daily methotrexate pills, and weekly Humira shots. Her fractured ankle is healing. She is doing well overall, and we are praying she will go into complete remission.  We are praying for God to heal her physically long term. (2/26/25)
