This church was established July 2nd, 1854 in a small grove south of where we are currently located. They built a log cabin to meet in. The church was then moved to our current location in 1866, starting in a stucco church building which eventually gave way to the current building. We have been blessed to continue growing in our mission of building family legacies rooted in Christ’s Truth right here in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
We welcome you to share in our celebration this summer!
How You Can Help
Pray
Good weather, safety for those travelling long distances, good fellowship, and for His faithfulness to continue for many more generations!
Volunteer
If you’ve already signed up to serve, please check in at the RSCC Information tent that will be in the center of the West parking lot 30 minutes before your assigned shift. This allows enough time to find your station, get familiar with it, read over the game rules, etc. Remember, parking may take a bit, so please allow yourself enough time to get parked if you are not planning on being there the whole day.
Setup
We’ll begin setting everything up at 8:00am and plan to be wrapped up at 11:30am. You are welcome to eat a quick breakfast with us at 7:30am before we begin.
Teardown
Help outside to bring everything in and to get the gym ready for Sunday’s potluck. All hands on deck at 5:00pm!
Give
You can donate and lend many of the items we need to make this event happen! Reach out to us to see what we need (at this point, we primarily need watermelons and to borrow your old milk cans and a couple old-style games).
